Named after Ponderosa Acres Rd., Reidsville, North Carolina (Population 13,857). Where my grandmother, Carrie Reid, resided before she passed away from cancer. During her lifetime, the American Tobacco Company’s factory was the central business in Reidsville’s “small town” economy and where both my grandparents retired. Later, American Tobacco abandoned ownership of their factory leading to a starving town with little to no potential economic progress.
This choice left behind what remained of a black community with little to no access to the larger developing American economies as a casualty of corporate interest. Reidsville is where I spent my summers away from Newark, New Jersey, and where the ACRES® brand begins. At her address, I began learning how to navigate socioeconomic topics that inform my current interests and the ethics behind the ACRES® brand.

1. Proprietary Matching Algorithm

DESCRIPTION: Our algorithm takes into account variables for each brand such as sales revenue, growth metrics, funding needs, company size, previous rounds raised, etc. It then analyzes this data to assign each brand partner a revenue and profit-sharing percentage tailored to their specific situation. Factors like lower annual revenue or growth may result in higher profit-sharing allotments to incentivize and support those brands. Conversely, more mature brands would likely be matched with lower revenue-share/profit-sharing based on need.
2. AUTOMATED PROFIT-SHARING

DESCRIPTION: Our automated profit-sharing model seamlessly splits profits and transfers grants to brands based on sales data. This provides access to capital that emerging brands traditionally struggle to obtain. Customers also get to share in our philanthropy via our transparent reporting at checkout. So while ACRES® is building a next-generation luxury ECOM experience, the fintech backbone empowers the groundbreaking financial services capabilities for inclusive funding and resources.
3. REVENUE-SPLITTING LOGIC
DESCRIPTION: Our business rules engine sets the automated perimeters for our data
RULES EXAMPLE: All partners can receive grants quarterly • Grant amounts are calculated by market share percentage x total shop revenue per quarter • Grant schedule generated randomly via lottery pick • Grant schedule resets after ALL partners have received their payout • Market share percent is partially calculated by dividing your brand’s selected inventory by our total inventory • The maximum possible profit share is 17% • Grant payments are made Net30 following the end of the quarter • Each partner must remain on the platform for at least (2) quarters before & after receiving grant (Grace Period) • Each partner receives quarterly reporting to remain updated on the grant schedule & revenue • Early brand partners granted additional ACRES® stock options upon reaching $100k in sales revenue on our site • ACRES® HQ holds absolute discretion regarding the maintenance of this system
PROFIT MODEL
DESCRIPTION: ACRES® generates revenue primarily through transaction fees, profit-sharing service fees, and product sales. These revenue streams are offset by costs related to technology infrastructure, personnel, marketing, legal compliance, and customer acquisition.

ACRES® earns revenue by charging transaction fees on every sale made through its e-commerce platform. This fee is a percentage of the total transaction value.

ACRES® offers an automated profit-sharing model to brands on its platform. In return, we charge service fees for managing and executing these profit-sharing transactions.

ACRES® generates revenue from product sales by hosting an e-commerce marketplace that sells luxury fashion products from emerging, diverse brands, taking a share of the sales revenue generated on its platform.

ACRES® offers premium services such as enhanced data analytics, fintech APIs and SDKs, or custom financial solutions for a fee.
